Nine Pin Ciderworks Releases New Cherry Cider

Nine Pin Ciderworks, New York’s first farm cidery, is proud to unveil Cherry, a daring new cider that pays homage to one of the most iconic fruits in American culture. Cherry is being distributed across New York and is available in stores and at Nine Pin’s Tasting Room.

Made from 100% New York apples grown at Samascott Orchards in Kinderhook and co-fermented with sour Montmorency cherries from Bittner-Singer Orchards in Appleton, NY, Nine Pin’s Cherry cider is a bold blend of sweet and tart. Unlike many cherry ciders, which are flavored post-fermentation, Nine Pin’s process is co-fermentation, which allows the richness of the cherries to integrate fully with the apples.

“Cherries are bold, nostalgic, and classically American, but they’re also intense and challenging to work with,” said Alejandro del Peral, co-founder and head cider maker at Nine Pin. “That’s why crafting this cider is so interesting. We wanted to show what’s possible when you treat cherries with the same care we give our apples. The result is a cider that is vibrant, tart, and striking.”

Cherries have long held a place in American culture—from classic desserts and roadside pie stands to red candies and bold cocktails. Nine Pin’s Cherry cider embraces that legacy while forging something entirely new: a fruit-forward, craft-driven cider that doesn’t compromise on flavor or authenticity.

Cherry cider will be available on draft at Nine Pin’s Albany Tasting Room and in 750 ml. bottles at select retailers throughout New York State beginning July 15.
